Rigid
Heddle Looms are simple looms which has both warp and cloth beams and
a cleaver shedding device that also functions as a beater. They can be used
with or without a stand.
Schacht Tapestry Loom shown on the A frame that can be used with the
tapestry or rigid heddle loom.
Tapestry weaving is considered by many to be the most personal of all weaving.
Among the simplest of looms, the tapestry loom holds a continuous warp under
tension, allowing the weaver to see all of the warp at once. Sheds are formed
using heddle bars and string heddles. While only two heddle bars are needed
for traditional tapestry weaving, we provide four heddle bars so that beginning
weavers can also experiment with 4-shaft pattern weaving. To keep the warp tension
even throughout your weaving, our tapestry loom has a tension beam with thumbscrews
on the end which allow for easy adjustment. Available in 18" and 25" weaving
widths, our continuous warping system allows a 60" long warp to be put directly
on the loom without using any other warping tools.

School Loom What's most important in a loom for young weavers is that it ensures success. We've designed this simple frame loom to do just that. It has a 15" weaving width, a built-in stand for upright use on the floor or a table top, plus durable, 6 per inch, plastic warp spacers for uniform warping. Students of all ages will find it easy to use. Included with each loom are two pick-up sticks, a weaving needle, and simple warping and weaving instructions. The School Loom is made of hard maple and left unfinished.
