Andy came to the crew as a replacement for EN 2 Jones who was seriously wounded and MEDIVACed out of Vietnam. Andy proved to be one of the finest young men that I had the great fortune to serve with during my entire 21 years in the Navy.
He was meticulous in his care of our engines and pumps.

I located Andy a couple of years ago and am glad to report that he is doing well and has an interest in Astrology. He has his own miniature planetarium with a home built 16" telescope. He can hook up his telescope to his computer and photograph his images.
He is now looking for someplace to retire where the man-made light will not interfere with his telescope.
