| I thought I'd take some time and tell you a
little about me and what I like to do. I'm what's
commonly known as a “techno-geek.” When I'm not
at work (where I fix computers), I'm at home tinkering with
mine. The two oldest girls have already assisted in the
assembling of a computer. |

| I've been toying with image manipulation a little lately. I use a freeware program called Gimp. It's basically a Photoshop knockoff. It does everything I want in photo editing. Anyways, I got a Treo 700p recently and I've delved into making skins for different programs on it. I found a program called TakePhone that allows for skins. I found an active forum and got involved. The skins I've made so far can be seen here. |

My newest hobby seems to be shooting / gun related. I took some of our tax refund and purchased a couple of firearms. I did a little research and found an American made firearm company that was well within my price range. The company, Hi-Point. The firearms, a C-9 handgun and a 995 carbine rifle. The handgun was brand new in the box and the carbine was used. Together, they cost me around $300. Little did I know that was just the beginning. I found the unofficial Hi-Point forum and read all I could on it. There I learned about stock modification for the 995 and grip adjustment for the C-9. Here's a couple of pics.![]() ![]() The picture of the carbine is the "before" picture. I've done an ATI stock conversion and also added the ATI butt pad and ATI laser kit. I picked up a Tasco 42mm red / green dot sight for it as well. Here's the final product. ![]() Amazingly, guns are like potato chips; no one can own just one. It seems that I find myself looking at them on the Internet and going to more sporting good stores than I used to. Oh well, with 4 daughters and a wife that teaches in the public school system, I don't think me being proficient with a gun would be all bad. | |
Another one of my hobbies is playing the guitar. I bought one at a garage sale a few years back but never really messed with it. One of the guys at my Thursday night bible study was learning and he encouraged me to “learn” with him. I guess I could be called a “camp fire” guitarist or a “youth camp” guitarist. Most of the songs I play consist of the same 3 or 4 chords. I currently own two guitars; an acoustic - electric JG620CEB by Johnson and a Carlo Robelli 12 String. My six string was purchased in Hannibal, Missouri from the Jam
Factory. They used to be down on Main Street but have moved to Muscatine, IA. My twelve string I got from Sam Ash. I'm still looking for a cool decal for the front of my
12 string. ![]() ![]() | |

| When we're not playing Christian music we like to find concerts in the area and listen to Christian music. Between the members of the group we probably listen to every genre of music imaginable. My friend Jeff has an entire wall of Christian CD's to pick from. If you've ever wanted to know what Christian artist would sound the most like a secular band you listen to, he'd be the one to ask. | |
